Street Parking Pilot Program

A pilot program to make paying for on-street parking more convenient is being tested along West Exchange Street in the first block west of Main Street. Drivers have the option of paying with change or credit card which they insert in one of the pay and display machines positioned adjacent to the parking spaces. They receive a receipt for the time purchased, which they then place in a visible position on their car dashboard. Parking is $.25 per 15 minutes with a maximum allowable time of two hours. Parking meters have been removed from this test area. The new system is administered by Ampco Parking Systems.

Parking remains free from 6 p.m.-6 a.m. weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays for on-street parking and in all city-owned decks and surface lots.
