The “5 Under 35” awards are given annually to five University of Akron alumni under the age of 35 in acknowledgment of their career achievements and service to their community and alma mater. Recipients are chosen by a panel of alumni peers and select students who weigh equally the below qualifying criteria.
Candidate Requirements:
A. Honorees must be a living graduate of The University of Akron and must satisfy the following criteria:
1. Demonstrate achievements and contributions to their profession since graduating from The University of Akron
2. Demonstrate a commitment of service to their alma mater and/or local community and beyond
3. Be under the age of 35 at the time of selection (December 2023)
B. Must be present at the awards ceremony on February 28, 2024
