Meet with a licensed attorney to discuss civil legal concerns including debt, housing issues, family law, wills, powers of attorney, record sealing, and more. Call 330.643.9020 to register.

This series is a partnership between Akron-Summit County Public Library, Community Legal Aid, and the Akron Bar Association

Starting at 10 am, Community Legal Aid will discuss their organization, brief descriptions of the area of law covered, and other available legal resources in Summit County and Ohio. This general session will repeat every 30 minutes. Attendance at a general session is required before attending an individualized one-on-one session. 

One-on-one, thirty-minute sessions with a licensed attorney will start at 10:30 am.

During the one-on-one sessions, registrants will have the opportunity to ask legal questions covering a variety of subjects, including:

  • debt (bankruptcy, credit card lawsuits, garnishments)
  • housing issues (eviction, housing conditions, foreclosure, land contracts)
  • family law (divorce, custody, visitation, protection orders)
  • wills, powers of attorney, and probate matters
  • record sealing
