Join us every “Third Thursday” of the month as we sing & swing the jazz standards along with some blues and pop/rock with a jazz twist. Rising star vocalist Ava Preston leads her dynamic quartet and is always open to audience suggestions!

Ava Preston is vocalist and songwriter from the Cleveland area. Audience members often describe her as an “Old Soul.” She started singing at the BluJazz+ Jam Sessions when she was 10 years old. Ava is an 11x national Downbeat SMA Winner for vocal Jazz and Blues/Pop/Rock. She also received the 2023 YoungArts Finalist Award for jazz voice.

An active singer in Northeast Ohio, Ava has been featured at a BluJazz+, The Bop Stop, and the Tri-C JazzFest to name a few. She has performed with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Dominick Farinacci, Swingbone, Moises Borges, and is the lead singer for the Swing Time and Swing Era big bands.

On the national scene, Ava has performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center (NYC), Birdland Jazz Club (NYC), and Andy’s Jazz Club (Chicago). She has also performed with such jazz greats as Christian McBride, Monty Alexander, John Clayton, and Sullivan Fortner. Ava will be performing at the 2023 Monterey Jazz Festival in September as the vocalist for the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra.
