It's Back—The return of the City of Akron Firefighters Chili Challenge! Leave your lunch at home and bring your appetite to LOCK 3 Commons, Friday February 2 beginning at 11 am. (until the chili's gone). $15 for 6 samples or $2 samples, $4 bowl.

This years participants are:

  • Akron Police Department Chili's Angels—a spicy Italian chili.
  • Summit Count Commons Pleas Court Judges Joy and Jen: A perfect ten!—Get ready for a taste bud sensation as you sample all beef chili, made by 2 local judges.
  • City of Akron Human Resources Chunky Chili—A traditional beef and bacon chill, nice and hearty for those cold winter days!
  • Cleveland Clinic Chili Chili Bang Bang—A hearty chili with chuck meat, beef and sausage mixture. It has a little heat and a bang at the end given to it by a poblano and jalapeno pepper blend.
  • City of Akron Office of Integrated Development Akronite Big Blimpin' Chili —Savory burger & brisket with a selection of flavorful beans, topped with cheesy blimps, for BIG blimpin' flavor!
  • Akron Fire Department Fully Involved—A classic firehouse chili with a multi-pepper kick!
