Details

Students between the grades of 2nd-5th will learn about the elements and principles of art. Students will dissect 2-3 principles each week. In addition to exploring supporting artists, activities, and projects, students will be able to demonstrate how to incorporate the elements and principles in their works of art.

The elements and principles of art that the students will learn are the following:

Line and shape

Color and value

Form, texture, and space

Pattern, movement, and unity

Contrast and emphasis

The last week will consist of a final project that includes all of the concepts students have learned.
