Join the Museum’s second session of the new Creative Aging Institute. Designed exclusively for adults 55+, this program offers in-depth, quality art making experiences taught by local artists. The eight-day class starts with a crash course in art history, then jumps into hands-on studio experiences, with each participant completing artwork as the class progresses. Upon completion of the course, participants will present a public art show and reception for their friends, family, and the public.

This second workshop in the series will focus on Textile & Fiber art making. From learning about the museum’s Textile collection to trying traditional and non-traditional Fiber art techniques, participants will leave with a deep knowledge of this exciting art-making process. The series is sequential and participants should attend all eight sessions. FREE. Registration required via Eventbrite or by emailing Merry Petroski at mpetroski@akronartmuseum.org
