Creative Campfire with David Flynn: Spark Ideas

Round up your ideas and join us for a Creative Campfire brainstorming workshop led by David Flynn, Wednesday, February 21st from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at Curated Storefront’s Avant Garden ART Studios & Gallery.

Flynn, a distinguished graphic designer and arts educator, established a lecture series dedicated to nurturing and unleashing creative and innovative thinking. Through this ongoing initiative, Flynn aims to inspire and guide individuals towards unlocking their creative potential.

This hands-on workshop welcomes creative thinkers, regional artists, and friends of the arts to gather in a group setting to spark ideas with the goal to make Akron, Ohio a more dynamic place to live, work, and play. If you have ideas you’d like to bounce off of a creative group or want to develop new ones, this campfire is for you. After all, it is traditionally the creatives who inspire change and create culture. Let’s spark a year of action together around a Creative Campfire.

TIMELINE:
5:30-6:00 pm  Arrive. Social.

6:00-6:15 pm  Akron Fun Facts. *Artist Needs.

6:15-7:15 pm  Creative Campfire with David Flynn

7:15-8:00 pm  Wrap Up. Connect to Resources. Social.

*Light food and refreshments will be provided. Please plan to arrive and be settled by 6:15 pm so we can light the fire.

PROMPT: Bring a visual reference of where you live. What do you display around your living and work space that brings you joy? Take pictures of your favorite room or document individual walls. This information will be activated during the campfire.

Curated Storefront nurtures a thriving cultural ecosystem in and around Akron by fueling artistic innovation, commissioning public art, expanding access to arts education, and stimulating economic growth. 

LOCATION: Curated Storefront’s Avant Garden ART Studios & Gallery is located within the Bounce Innovation Hub, 526 S. Main St., Suite 409, Akron, OH 44311. 

TICKETS: Free to attend. Donations toward our mission are always welcome.

PARKING: Ample free parking is available. The Bounce Innovation Hub’s visitor parking is located directly across the road from the building’s main entrance.
