We're extra excited about this show because each band features one of our fantastic and uber talented sound engineers: Adin Merritt - dangerouslycloseband, Alex Owens - So Nectar, and Jake Henze - Outdated View.

We are not punk… But we’re Dangerously Close. Joe originally set out to help Adin with his solo gig at the Rialto Theatre. After working together for a month or so Joe decided that he enjoyed working with Adin. We then decided to start working on forming a band. We originally were going to call the band DUCK, but then realized that we were “dangerously close to not existing.” That's when we knew we should name the band “Dangerously Close”.We aim to be an intense rock band with solid tones and angry lyrics. Punk seems to be the most fitting term for what we are trying to portray.“Anything above the snare is a cymbal” - Joe Merlitti

So Nectar is an alternative punk trio from Akron with DIY roots. Fast and loud, they are guaranteed to deliver a set of 100% organic certified bangers for your ear holes.

Outdated View is a four piece rock band coming from Akron OH. The group comprises of Matthew Shewbridge (lead guitar), Matt Pentelo (rhythm guitar and lead vocals), Jake Henze (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Drew Marett (drums and percussion) Our sound would be described as alternative hard rock with strong blues tones and a sprinkle of progressive and psychedelic rock.
