Join us for the Downtown Akron Eclipse!
Sponsored by the City of Akron
The city will host an eclipse event in downtown Akron from 1:00 to 8:00 pm, outside at 510 S. Main St. (the parking lot behind Spaghetti Warehouse). The event will include entertainment options such as a balloon artist and juggler, musicians, reptile show, DJ Jul, face painting, and more.
There will be food and beverages available for purchase including alcoholic beverages. Capacity is limited to 2,500. Register at website link above to reserve your eclipse bag with glasses and other items courtesy of downtown Akron businesses. Registration is free but you will have the option of buying reserved parking for $10. Bring your friends and family, some chairs and blankets, and enjoy a day of fun and excitement.
Admission is limited to registered guests only. One pair of eclipse glasses will be provided per registered guest.
Event details: Plan for increased traffic congestion and travel time. Parking is available at city-owned lots and decks, on the street, or by reserving a space at the event. This event is held outdoors, rain or shine. Dress for the weather. Lawn chairs are permitted and will also be available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Portable restrooms facilities will be available on site.
Check in on site to receive your glasses. Details will be emailed to registered guests in advance of the event.
