Susan Cannavino presents the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe, who uses Gothic literature in his poetry and short stories to express his overwhelming sadness. Registration required.

No one should suffer as much loss and death as this 19th-century American writer. As the tragedy of his life unfolds, Poe uses Gothic literature in his poetry and short stories to express his overwhelming sadness. His work reflects the keen suffering throughout his life. A handkerchief is optional.
