Emerging Technologies Studio is a gateway to creativity reimagined with 21st century cutting edge technology. Students may go all in on the physically impossible or present their work in virtual or augmented realities.

The exhibition will showcase student’s work in the Eight Emerging Technologies Studio course. The students are from different majors, produced uniquely different personal projects by utilizing the technical skills learned to generate projects closely related to their major studies.

Students dive into two major projects using 2D cutting and 3D printing to create original material using the latest in advanced technology at the Makerspace in the Myers School of Art. The challenge is to make an in-depth investigation of their specialty meaningful through a technically-enhanced prism.

Boundless imagination lead to the final forms of these bodies of work and we invite you take a deep dive into our explorations.

About the course: The class is the last sequence of the Emerging Technologies Minor. This course and minor are open to all majors curious about transforming ideas with a palette of high tech possibilities. Visions take shape, literally and figuratively, with a variety of state-of-the-art tools from 3D printing to laser and vinyl cutting, game development and more!
