Explore the fine and decorative artworks of the Lee L. Forman Collection of Bags at this free exhibit reception! "Form Beyond Function," on display now, highlights how a wide variety of artists have elevated common bags, sacks, and totes to subjects of fine art and creative expression.
We’ll be joined by Exhibit Curator Val Metzger, as well as Howard Forman, who donated the collection of approximately 12,000 bags to the Institute in 2019. Metzger and Forman will share remarks on the development of the exhibit and the history of the collection beginning at 6:00pm.
Light refreshments will be offered throughout the event. All visitors will receive free admission to the exhibit, as well as the National Museum of Psychology and Institute galleries.
