Resident organization Artists of Rubber City's next exhibition, "Gaia's Anguish" by Laurel Winters, will close with an artist talk on May 27.

"My current work focuses on our fragile planet, the damage we are creating and our fellow humans and creatures that we are mistreating, neglecting, and eliminating. I belong to the Unitarian Universalist Church, and our seventh Principle cites the interconnected web of life and commits to living 'in harmony with all creation.' I believe that deeply. This exhibition has two parts. In the first, the Earth Spirit Gaia expresses my personal rage and frustration with the previous administration and some continued policies of our national and state government. The second part focuses on the permanent damage the production, pollution and permanence of plastic creates for all living things on this planet."
