Are you curious about DNA testing for genealogy? In the first of two presentations, "Genetic Genealogy Overview," Richard will explain what genetic genealogy can do for you. He will explain the different test types and the key factors that will impact your results. He will review the strengths and limitations of the major DNA testing companies and review the best tools for getting the most information from your genetic matches. Richard’s second presentation, "Understanding the Ethnic Ancestry in Your DNA Test," will focus on the ethnicity reports included with many of the DNA tests. He will explain why results often don’t match expectations, why different testing companies yield different results, and why Native American DNA is so rare. As an example, he will show and compare the results where the same person did eight different tests. A question and answer session will be held after each presentation.

Richard Hill did not plan to be a pioneer. He was just an adoptee trying to identify unknown birth parents. Yet his innovative application of DNA testing put him on the front page of "The Wall Street Journal."
