Please join us for the 3rd Annual Hands-on Halloween event, presented by Akron Children’s Museum. It’s sure to be a fun day the whole family will enjoy! And for those early birds, there are beautiful, potted “Mums for Moms” flowers for the first 50 to purchase tickets to this special event.
From 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., children will start their trek around the museum by designing a goody bag to fill up as they complete their Halloween Fun Guide along the way. Children will move to spooky fun sounds presented by 91.3 The Summit while decorating Pumpkin Face Cookies, designing a Candy Corn Mosaic, playing Halloween Bingo, making Monster Rock Pals and more, all while visiting the Halloween-themed craft stations. Be sure to stop by one of the Spooky Science stations where children of all ages are free to unleash their inner mad scientist with our Spooky Science Investigations! Kids can create their very own 3D printed Halloween charms, weave spectacular spider webs, explore ghastly chromatography, and more!
Attendees can also contribute to a community service project by bringing new, festive or colorful pillow cases that will be donated to children at Summit County Children Services Winter Wonderland Drive Thru for Foster and Kinship Homes. And get a jump start on your holiday shopping in the museum’s Monster Shop with fun items such as the plush museum monsters, giant coloring posters, and a wide selection of STEM toys for children!
