Details

Early in 2024, artists were selected through an open call process to create four site-specific installations inside the shipping containers at Outside the Box! On Saturday, June 22, Jesse Satterfield and Kirstin Willders kick it off with two exhibits.

Satterfield's installation will feature a wall-to-wall-to-ceiling quilt constructed of hand-tufted carpet squares that recreates a relationship between the artist, family, and memory. Willders will create an immersive experience, with visual, aural, and tactile stimuli to explore aspects of the self. The exhibitions will be on display through August 24.

"Water Won't Run Straight" by Kristin Willders

Rachel Ferber, Jess Fijalkovich, and Chris Harvey continue this exciting project with two installations in the fall, August 26 through November 2.
