THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 4–7 PM: It Came from a bucket of mud!

Ceramic artist Eva Polzer will be activating a storefront of the Polsky Building in downtown Akron (to the left of current Clayton Bailey exhibit in second image) featuring live-action creations made… from a bucket of mud.

Spectators are invited to gather with friends and family outside along Main Street, peer into the windows, and observe what type of new creatures will be brought to life through a transformational process. Polzer is perfecting their lab etiquette and creation process for their upcoming Akron Soul Train artist residency gallery show, which is to take place from May 3–June 10, 2023, located just one short block to the north.

Inspired by the work of Clayton G. Bailey, Polzer will be working behind secure glass in the recent exhibit, presented by Curated Storefront, Clayton Bailey’s "World of Wonders: Medical Malpractice."

Having worked with Curated Storefront as a gallery liaison, preparator, and art handler over the past year plus, Polzer has developed a rapport with the ART Team, has gained expert-level knowledge about the creations brought to life by both Dr. George Gladstone and Clayton G. Bailey in their weird science laboratory experiments, and has agreed to practice ongoing science-related research during this evening experience.
