It's finally here! The City of Akron has announced the official grand reopening of Lock 3 Park, happening Friday, November 29, immediately following the 6 pm Welcome Santa Parade. Visitors can look forward to a ribbon cutting ceremony, a live ice carving demonstration, costumed characters like the Grinch and Santa, and, in place of fireworks, a spectacular drone show at 7 pm sponsored by Downtown Akron Partnership with support from Knight Foundation. Ice skating will be available from 11 am to 11 pm for the grand opening of the park.
