Come have some fun in preparation for the total solar eclipse. Join us as an individual or bring the family for a time of creativity and crafting. We'll provide the supplies under the tent to produce an awesome costume with prizes for 1st place in various age groups. Who will win the trophy at the costume parade?
Tracy Wilmington, director of the Firestone CLC planetarium and high school science teacher, will give talks about the eclipse throughout the event.
Each attendee age three and up will receive a free pair of eclipse glasses and everyone will be photographed in their costume for placement on their participation certificate.
Costume creation and craft activities will be held outside under tents with heaters nearby (it's going to be sunny and fun). The talk will take place in the gallery of the John Brown House.
Solar eclipse snacks and glasses will be for sale for guests attending that day.
Individual tickets for ages 5 and up (ages 4 and under are free) - $15
Family tickets for up to 2 adults and 3-5 children - $50
