Maria Jacobs is a national recording artist who has released eight solo albums as a leader. She has charted on the Groove Jazz and Smooth jazz holiday charts. She is the adjunct professor of a applied vocal jazz at Kent State University, a licensed music educator and a principal conductor for the Open Tone Music Academy. 

Maria has opened for several national acts including Chuck Mangione, the Average White Band, British soul band Loose Ends, and Bob Dorough. She has been a soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall for the Martin Luther King Day celebration, The Jazz Heritage Orchestra and she has performed under musical director Damien Sneed for Wynton Marsalis’ Abyssinian Mass.  

Maria has recorded with platinum selling and Grammy award winning producer Tommy Coster, Alphonso Johnson and Ndugu Chancellor, and performed with Bob Conti, and Grammy award winning Gospel artist Bili Redd. 

Maria has written over 100 songs and she is a royalty earning member of Ascap. You can find her music on all digital music platforms. She is also listed on the International Movie Database (IMDb) as the theme song composer for the award winning film and television show “So This Is Love.” As a national voiceover artist Maria is represented by the Docherty Agency.
