Midwinter Tunes is here to shake the blues away this winter!
Join The Akron Art Museum for a FREE art and music festival on February 18th, 2023, from 6 – 10 pm. Six bands will be performing live in the Museum including Church of Starry Wisdom, Language, and Rubber Band. Artist Joanna Lopez Keane will be doing a special performance with her adobe installation in the State of the Art: Constructs exhibition.
More performances will activate the galleries with poems and readings, in part with Wickpoetry Center.
There will be more awesome exciting elements with local partners:
- Earthquakes Devices will have a guitar pedal zoo where you can try out different pedals!
- Elizabeth’s Bookshop will have a pop-up bookshelf
- ASCPL Main Library will be present for a book club.
- Nightlight Cinema will be projecting films across the Museum space.
- Daisy Pops will have a make-your-own cake pop stand.
