The Akron Zoo is partnering with Stan Hywett Hall & Gardens to present Multicultural Day! Join us for a fun-filled day of crafts, games, history and education with local multicultural organizations.

During the day, local cultural organizations will be highlighted and the North Hill Portrait Series, by local photographer Shane Wynn, will be showcased throughout the zoo. A zoo-wide scavenger hunt will be available during the event, along with costume character meet-and-greets from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Local organizations include Asian Services in Action, Donauschwaben's German-American Cultural Center, Hispanic UMADAOP, North American Indian Cultural Center, Summit County Historical Society and Stellar Acrobatic Dance Academy. The latter will be performing at 12:30 p.m. in the zoo’s tiger amphitheater.

Stan Hywet will be offering an activity called “Destination Akron, Passport Through Time” all day.

Normal admission rates and parking apply for this event.
