Join us at the Hower House Museum for a talk by local author, Kathryn Hardgrove Popio.
Three families with men gone to Civil War.

While cannons fired celebratory rounds at the depot in Massillon, Ohio, ordinary family life was savored page-by-delicious-page from the busy pen of Margaret Jackson Hardgrove.
Passing in the mail were letters of Lieut. John Henry Hardgrove, overflowing with adventure or misery deep in the sweltering South.
Letters were opened... history changed.
