As leaders of not for profit organizations, the pandemic had a special impact as we both managed health risks, the resulting pressure on costs, revenues and labor all while continuing to deliver and administer to the needs of our members and beneficiaries. As the pandemic moves to endemic, we’d like to begin to reconnect with each other and create an opportunity for dialogue, discussion and idea sharing among organization leaders.
On July 21 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., join The Greater Akron Chamber and Business Volunteers Unlimited for a discussion among non-profit executive leaders and key decision makers with a focus on talent and staffing trends, best practices and challenges.
Steve Millard, GAC’s President and CEO, will share a short summary of findings from recent work on the regional Where are the Workers? employer and talent research initiative conducted in partnership with a broad set of economic development partners and reaching more than 800 employers and over 4,000 workers and job seekers. And, Biz Voudouris, BVU President and CEO, will moderate an open discussion of participants about the challenges they are having with workforce and staffing and facilitate sharing of ideas and best practices for the mutual benefit of those in attendance.
This is an informal opportunity to connect, network and share ideas among leaders of our region’s non-profit organization leaders. We hope you will join us.
Gather/Coffee/Light Breakfast: 7:45 – 8:15 a.m.
Roundtable Discussion: 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
