From 1933 to 1983, Sexology magazine brought news and information about sexuality and sex research to the American public. Distributed widely throughout the United States and Central America, the magazine provided a lens through which everyday readers could better understand their own sexual identities and desires. Join Cummings Center Education and Outreach Coordinator Tony Pankuch for an exploration of how Sexology magazine portrayed the LGBTQ+ community throughout its run. With articles covering everything from conversion therapy to Christine Jorgensen to the Homophile Movement, Sexology provides a fascinating lens for how LGBTQ+ identities were defined and redefined throughout the 20th century.
