Two alternative bands covering 90’s and early 2000’s.
Pivot is a grunge band from Akron/Cleveland composed of five lifelong musicians with a stong influence from the 90’s. Starting out as a cover band, they are now writing originals that they hope hit that same nostalgic feel. Pivot was started by a couple co-workers who had done a few acoustic projects together before finally deciding to form a full rock band. In October 2023, Pivot was established and hit the ground running. It’s been said they have a Cranberries meets Pearl Jam sound and they are thrilled to build on that and continue to carve their own way deep into the local music scene.
Vandelay is a 90s tribute band that channels all the best music that era had to offer, from the crunch and wail of Alice in Chains to the angsty artistry of Nirvana. Hailing from the Kent, Ohio, area, Vandelay was formed in 2023 and the five-member band has dedicated itself to reproducing the hits of the 90s most popular and influential musical artists. Vandelay has quickly earned a reputation for its performances that capture the spirit and energy of the original artists and their songs. The band’s defining characteristics are its own special brand of up-tempo flare and its undeniable onstage camaraderie. Vandelay has imported the iconic sounds of the 90s and is exporting live performances that leave audiences ready for more.
