Akron Children’s Museum, in collaboration with the Polymer Industry Cluster powered by the Greater Akron Chamber and The University of Akron’s School of Polymer Science, is thrilled to announce the inaugural special event, Polymer Palooza.
Polymer Palooza is a joint effort to educate and engage children and their families in the incredible world of polymers, the substances that make up everything around us. From the rubber in your sneakers to the plastic in your water bottle, polymers play a vital role in our daily lives. Also don’t miss Goodyear’s scientists who will present an exciting chemical demonstration during the event! This interactive event aims to showcase the wonders of polymers and ignite curiosity about polymer science and careers.
The event will feature a wide range of activities designed to entertain and educate attendees of all ages. Interactive exhibits will allow participants to explore the fascinating properties of polymers through hands-on experiments and engaging demonstrations. From slime-making to exploring the strength of different materials, visitors will have the opportunity to dive deep into the world of polymers and discover their endless possibilities.
Polymer Palooza will take place at Akron Children’s Museum on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10am to 1pm. Admission to the museum and the Polymer Palooza event is free for everyone.
