Worried about your personal or professional financial health – or both? Does the idea of budgeting create stress or overwhelm?
Gain confidence in the financial decisions that affect your livelihood as a working local artist. Dara Harper will share personal stories about her experiences with navigating financial barriers to being an artist and how you can do the same. Gina Betti and Rachel Durci will lead you through money-related affirmations and goal setting activities, to help lay the foundation for building a sustainable future as an artist.
GINA BETTI’s passion is helping others and creating champions in the world. She began her career with Edward Jones in 2009 and has three areas of focus: personal finances, small-business retirement plans and non-profit strategies. She currently serves as a board member of North Coast Job Seekers, Limitless Ambition and Summit Artspace. In addition to my leadership roles, I also volunteer and advocate for Copley Community Outreach, Stewart’s Caring Place and Birthcare of Medina.
RACHEL DURCI is Founder and Financial Wellness Coach for Effortless Budgeting, a firm dedicated to supporting individuals in creating and monitoring a budget, paying off debt, and planning for vacations and special events. Rachel coaches individuals and teams about credit scores and reports, debt structuring, and establishing a confident money mindset and financial accountability.
DARA HARPER, M.Ed, is an artist, educator and co-owner of Art Only Boutique and Director of Programming at ArtsNow. She is uniquely driven to use art to create conversations and develop meaningful relationships that will make a positive impact in her community. She graduated from The University of Akron with a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction. A Bachelor of Arts in Art Studio Emphasis; Painting and Minor in Art History. She has exhibited artwork throughout the city of Akron which reflects her love to paint while producing artwork that shows the many facets of Akron Ohio. Dara Harper believes art changes and grows as one does through life. There is no formula: art breathes and lives intrinsically with the person that creates it, which should mirror the vibrancy and the heart of our communities.
