***The 2025 Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival will take place Saturday, November 1, 2025***
It's Back!!! & Way Better than hiding your CD collection under your floorboards or spending hours of backbreaking labor making t-shirts featuring humorous topical headlines of things you see around town!
It's the 5th annual Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival! Festivities will take place on Cascade Plaza and Main Street from Mill to Bowery. We have a wide array of local coffee and food vendors, boutique shopping and art experiences, live music, plenty of Gilmore Girls references, and even two special guests from the show.

This year, we will be welcoming 2 very special guests!
John Cabrera and Todd Lowe, who played Brian Fuller and Zack Van Gerbig, respectively, on Gilmore Girls, will be making a special appearance at this year's festival. They'll do meet & greet sessions with fans, have a Fireside Chat where they'll reminisce about their time on the show, and will even perform a couple songs with Run Katie Run.
Themed Events and Specials Around Downtown (on Saturday, Nov. 2 unless otherwise noted)
- Northside Cellar (Friday and Saturday): Enter to win a coffee & snow-themed basket. Open 11 am - 5 pm both days.
- The Lockview will feature a specialty cocktail: The Lockview Alpine Brew, featuring Knob Creek bourbon, Kahlua, maple syrup, coffee, and walnut bitters. Open 5 - 11 pm.
- Akron Bazaar will present their Coffee in an IV Market in the 159 Events on Main space from 10 am to 4 pm.
- The Akron-Summit County Public Library TechZone on the 1st floor will have a free button-making activity from noon to 4 pm.
- Barley House Akron is offering TWO Additional sessions of Gilmore Trivia, at 3 pm and 5 pm. PLUS Gilmore-themed drinks and menu items. Open 11 am - 4 am.
- Chill Ice Cream and Indulge Chocolates will be serving up Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival specials, including $3 on their dark chocolate Akron Bar made with Muggswigz espresso beans from downtown Akron! Enjoy a special brew coffee ice cream to mimic Luke’s Diner coffee. Open 12 - 8 pm.
- Baxter's Bar will be open and have DORA drinks available.
- Street Craftery will be offering coffee-scented candle making sessions until 8 pm.
- Muggswigz Coffee and Tea will offer $1 off nitro cold brew on Saturday. Open 8 am - 2 pm.
- Evelyn's Coffee and Banh Mi will be open from 9 am to 4 pm
- Missing Falls Brewery will have Smells Like Snow Coffee IPA and Nice Pear! hard cider available at the Festival and in the 540 S. Main St. restaurant. Open 12 - 11 pm.

The Smells Like Snow Coffee Festival is presented by Downtown Akron Partnership with support from the City of Akron and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Additional support for musical festival music performance is provided by Ohio Arts Council.
