How does a worldwide pandemic during an environmental emergency shift not only our psychology, but also the tools to help us heal?
The Cummings Center for the History of Psychology will host a new installation, The Hologram, by artist Cassie Thornton beginning on July 16th. The Hologram is an experiment in collective, peer-to-peer health care in which three people meet on a regular basis, to listen to and support the physical, mental, and social health of a fourth person. The new installation will transport visitors to the year 2038, where they will look back on the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on mutual-aid initiatives and activist experiments in care.
Cassie Thornton will be on-site at the Cummings Center on July 16th from 2 pm - 4 pm to offer free, guided tours of the new installation. You are invited to drop-in for this artist-led experience!
