Come out and join Keepers of the Art & The Illstyle Rockers as we celebrate 50 yrs of Hip-Hop with DJ Cash Money at the Akron Art Museum.

"The Rubber City 50 Year Hip-Hop Celebration" - Saturday August 12, 2023 at the Akron Art Museum from 6 pm to midnight. General admission is $10. ALL ART MUSEUM MEMBERS WILL BE ADMITTED FOR $5 WITH A VALID MEMBERSHIP CARD.

  • FREE viewings of the iconic Hip-Hop films Beat Street (1984) and Wild Style (1982) between 11:30am-4:30pm.

The evening will be headlined by the one and only, internationally renowned, DJ Cash Money.

The evening will also feature:

  • The "The Midwest Floor General 1" breakdance competition featuring some of the best B-boys & B-girls from the midwest. With a grand prize of $1,000.
  • The Respect tha Architect Turntable Exhibition featuring: DJ Nu Era, John Doe & Reemykx

  • TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR STARTING AT 6 PM
