Katherine Moore is a movement artist whose practice spans theaters, outdoor environments, galleries, and community spaces. Her Akron Soul Train residency work, the space between landing and falling, is comprised of 200 photographs that record 100 days of expressive movement and writing the artist created after finishing chemotherapy. This work is the backdrop to a site-specific performance that will occur in the gallery. The still images, writing, and performance create a multi-layered user experience that highlights the ephemeralness of transition in an unstable body through time.
