Join us Monday, Nov. 15 for a virtual walk-through of new works by artist-in-resident Arron Foster. His show "We should be home"
As an Appalachian transplant to Northeast Ohio himself, Aaron Foster is interested in the connections between the two regions due to the history of Appalachian migration to Northeast Ohio in search of work in the tire and rubber industries during the early 20th century. Drawing upon the 1939 federally commissioned Akron Area Residential Security Map, Foster created a multimedia body of work exploring place, representation, migration and settlement.
