5:30 p.m. | 19th Annual FRESH Exhibition Awards Announcement | Betty & Howard Taylor Main Gallery

Join this year's FRESH juror, Michael Gill as he announces the best in show awards. Gill is the Executive Director, Founder, and Editor of Collective Arts Network (CAN) Journal, a long-time resource for local artists in Northeast Ohio. This year, Summit Artspace had 86 local artists submit 159 artworks to FRESH, and each new iteration of the exhibition is guaranteed to feature exciting artworks using a wide variety of nontraditional materials and subject matters by established and emerging artists.

6:00 p.m. | Celebrating Queer Voices and Journeys | Artist Panel | Forum Gallery

Hosted by ??✨ (said verbally as cheers, queers) curator Moo (they/per), this panel of exhibiting artists will discuss what it means to be a Queer Artist. There will be an exploration of the obstacles in place, the emotional endurance, and most importantly, the successes. Each panelist and the host have a deep experience navigating the art world with their queer lenses. After hearing about their journeys, we will explore what it means to celebrate them and their art. We will conclude with a short Q&A and celebratory praise for each talented individual. Featured exhibiting artists included in the panel: Edson Rosas (he/they), Abby Cipar (they/them), Eli West (he/they), Peach Fuzz (she/her), Angél Avinea (she/her), and Kenron Morgan (he/him)
