THE CROWDERS are a duo from NE Ohio featuring Tracey Thomas and Benjamin Payne. The Crowders do original music from their extensive catalogs as well as some new music they have co-written since their birth as a duo. Tracey Thomas is a well known artist from Akron, having fronted the band Unit 5 in the 1980’s as well as a solo career going back to 1994. She has 11 albums to her credit including the latest release MY ROOTS ARE SHOWING that was co-produced by Benjamin W. Payne. Ben is the creator of the band Yankee Bravo, a NE Ohio favorite out of Canton. Together they work with other well known artists from the area to produce a wonderful Americana sound with enough outside influences to hold your interest. Not to be missed if you have the opportunity, they play only a select few shows a year as The Crowders. You can find Benjamin Payne out with his band Yankee Bravo and Tracey with her Jazz band playing exclusively at Jilly’s Music Room in Akron a few times per year.
