Torchbearers was founded in 2003 and exists to enhance Greater Akron by investing in our emerging leaders and strengthening their connection to local non-profit organizations. Our vision is a culture of empowered and diverse leadership in which our members are making meaningful contributions to the Greater Akron community. 

Torchbearers ignites the aspirations of members through leadership and development, community engagement, and service.

We are young leaders, between 25 and 39 years old, that are powerful, vibrant, and have a passion for impacting the Greater Akron community.

Our members are change-makers who believe in possibility and participate in creating a shared vision for evolving our community.

Torchbearers enables members to be a part of shaping Akron through leading initiatives and programs that have a concrete positive impact.
