Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau Launches Brand New Treasure Trail

AKRON, OH (Oct. 29, 2024) – The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is excited to announce the launch of the Treasure Trail on Nov. 2, 2024. The Treasure Trail consists of 20 different retro/vintage/thrift stores throughout Summit County. This trail of hard-to-finds and one-of-a-kinds provides an opportunity to promote and support these local shops.

To start the Treasure Trail, venture to any of the 20 participating shops and pick up a passport. A digital version of the passport is also available, and both are free to use. Make a purchase at any of the participating shops to earn stamps for your passport. Continue the fun by visiting each store along the trail, making purchases and collecting stamps. The minimum number of stamps needed for completion is 16. Upon completion, submit your passport to receive the inaugural tote bag, along with an entry into the Treasure Trail Grand Prize Package – a $250 value!

The Treasure Trail is the first initiative from the ASCVB that will be offered digitally. The ASCVB partnered with LoyalBrew to create the digital passport. Participants can choose to complete the trail with either the digital or printed version of the passport, then submit it to the ASCVB. Combinations will not be accepted.

“The Treasure Trail is a great way to showcase local businesses and help build further appreciation for this important retail sector,” said Gregg Mervis, president and CEO of the ASCVB. “We are looking forward to supporting our local stores and know that participants will enjoy discovering the unique treasures that Summit County has to offer.”
