Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau Launches Fifth Annual Drip Drive
AKRON, OH (April 11, 2024) – The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is excited to announce the fifth annual Drip Drive will be launching on April 13, 2024. The Drip Drive consists of 23 locations throughout Summit County and provides an opportunity to promote and support our local coffee shops.
To start The Drip Drive, head over to any of the 23 participating locations and pick up a free passport. While there, simply make a purchase and receive a stamp. Continue the fun by stopping at each of the coffee shops along the drive, making purchases and collecting stamps. The minimum number of stamps needed for completion of the passport is 19. Upon completion, submit your passport to receive a limited-edition, fifth-anniversary coffee mug, along with a grand prize entry.
The Drip Drive 2024 Grand Prize:
- A $500 gift package including swag and merchandise from coffee shops on The Drip Drive.
“The Drip Drive has continued to grow in popularity and participation with each new year,” said Gregg Mervis, president & CEO of the ASCVB. “This growth has allowed new coffee shops to be added to the passport and helps support the thriving hospitality ecosystem in Summit County.”
Last year, The Drip Drive saw nearly 500 completions submitted to the ASCVB. New for this year is the passport submission process. Participants will still visit the ASCVB offices or the Akron Art Museum to submit their passports and receive their mug. Only now they will input their submission information into tablets to be entered into the grand prize drawing. This new process will be faster and more efficient.
