Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau Launches Ninth Annual Summit Brew Path
AKRON, OH (Jan. 3, 2025) – The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is excited to announce the ninth annual Summit Brew Path will be launching on Jan. 4, 2025. It will be unveiled at the Summit Brew Path Bash where attendees will have first access to the 2025 Summit Brew Path.
The Summit Brew Path consists of 17 amazing breweries located throughout Summit County. Participants are encouraged to venture out to their favorite brewery or try something new at a location they may not be familiar with. The journey begins in one of two ways: 1) by picking up a passport at any brewery along the Brew Path or 2) by visiting our website for the first-ever digital passport. Users simply need to visit and make a purchase at each location to earn a stamp on their passport. Those who collect a stamp from all 17 locations will have successfully completed their passports. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
The Summit Brew Path has a new prize structure. There will be a chance to win one of three cash prizes for everyone who submits a fully completed passport:
- Pint Prize: $250
- Silver Stein: $500
- Golden Growler: $1,000
Those who earn every stamp and submit their passports will be invited to the 2025 Summit Brew Path Bash. The Bash celebrates the participants and breweries on a successful year. It is an event full of fun with the breweries sharing tastings of their favorite brews, prize giveaways, backyard games, friends, food and much more.
“The Summit Brew Path continues to be one of our largest and most impactful initiatives, for both local and regional participants year after year,” said Gregg Mervis, president and CEO of the ASCVB. “By supporting our local breweries, we help ensure the success and vitality of Summit County’s thriving hospitality ecosystem.”
Nearly 1,850 completions were submitted to the ASCVB for the 2024 Summit Brew Path, and over 1,700 guests plan to attend the Brew Path Bash.
New for the 2025 Summit Brew Path is a digital version of the passport. To access the digital passport, visit summitbrewpath.com/. Digital users will need to create an account, and then add the Summit Brew Path to their collection of passports to begin.
