Akron Zoo to Host Egg Hunt Event
March 20, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is hosting its annual egg hunt, Egg-stra Wild Egg Hunt, on Saturdays and Sundays, April 5-6, 12-13 and 19 from 8:30 – 10 a.m. The egg hunt begins promptly at 9 a.m.
Egg hunters will scour sections of the zoo, based on the child’s age, in search for eggs to be redeemed for a special goody bag. Allergy-friendly bags are available upon request. The bunny will be making a special appearance for photos, plus guests can enjoy a craft.
A Zoothing egg hunt location is new this year for people with different abilities who don’t like crowds or loud noises to enjoy a sensory friendly egg-vironment. Zoothing egg hunter tickets will be limited each day.
Tickets to Egg-stra Wild Egg Hunt include admission into the zoo for the day following the event. Tickets are available at akronzoo.org/egg-stra-wild-egg-hunt. Prices are $18 for egg hunters (including Zoothing egg hunters) and $10 for non-member observers. Akron Zoo member observers are free. Infants under age two are also free, but will not receive a treat bag.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Off-season hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Peak season hours begin April 1 and are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission rates are $11 – $21. Children under two are free and parking is free. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
