Akron Zoo to Offer Free Days in November
October 25, 2024, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is offering multiple free and discounted admission days throughout the month of November.
The first date is on Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Free admission is available for all guests. Then, on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10, guests who wear red, white or blue to the zoo will receive free admission as part of Red, White and Zoo Days.
On Monday, Nov. 11, the Akron Zoo is honoring veterans with Veterans Appreciation Day. All veterans will receive free admission, and immediate family members receive 50% off. A valid military ID is required.
The zoo’s popular shopping event, Shop-a-Holidays, returns on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Discounted admission for the day is available at $7 per person. More than 60 local vendors will be set-up throughout the zoo for guests to enjoy some holiday shopping. Kids can also enjoy a craft corner provided in partnership with Akron Firestone Visual Arts.
Parking is now free at the Akron Zoo daily.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Off-season hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission rates are $9 – $19. Children under two are free and parking is free. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
