Akron Zoo to Offer Meal Takeout and Shopping Opportunities
AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is now offering carryout meals for pick-up and shopping opportunities in their gift shop.
The Komodo Kingdom Café will be offering a new “Meals to Go” service every Thursday from 4 – 6 p.m. A different menu will be offered every week. Each entrée is $40 and serves four. Dessert, beverage and alcoholic drink add-ons are also available.
Meals to Go will be picked up via drive-thru in the Akron Zoo parking lot and will include a social distant meet and greet with a zoo mascot. Dinner patrons will also receive a special “zooprise” via email to enjoy with their meal.
Meals to Go are available to purchase at akronzoo.org/meals-to-go.
Shopping in the zoo gift shop is available by appointment. Appointments are available from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Appointment requests must be received at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-ins will not be accommodated. Appointments are available by calling 330-375-2550 or emailing info@akronzoo.org.
