Akron Zoo’s Popular Brew at the Zoo: Halloween is Oct. 1

September 21, 2022, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is hosting its most popular Brew at the Zoo of the year on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. The theme is Halloween Bash and guests are encouraged to dress in costume and participate in a costume contest.

Local breweries and wineries will be set-up throughout the zoo, offering samples of beer and wine. Tickets include eight tastings. VIP tickets are also available and include 12 tastings, a full-size beer and early entrance to the event at 6 p.m. 

Vendors for the October Brew at the Zoo include Akronym Brewing, Blue Monkey, Brighten Brewing, Collision Bend, Eighty-Three Brewery, HiHO Brewing Co., Hoppin’ Frog Brewery, Ignite Brewing Company, McArthur's Brew House, Missing Falls Brewery, Muskellunge Brewing Company, Nauti Vine Winery, R.Shea Brewing, Unplugged, Wild Ohio Brewing and Wrecking Crew Brew Works. Food trucks will also be on grounds, including Cheezylicious Food Truck, Scott's Fire & Ice and Swenson's Drive In.

Tickets are on sale now at akronzoo.org/brew-at-the-zoo. Akron Zoo members are $30 and non-members are $35. Designated driver tickets are available for $19 for Akron Zoo members and $24 for non-members. A limited number of special VIP tickets are available at $45. VIP designated driver tickets are $27.  

Brew at the Zoo is a 21 and older only event. Infants and children will not be admitted into the event. 

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Summer hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $12 for seniors (ages 62+) and $11 for children (ages 2-14). Children under two are free and parking is $5. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
