Fall Exhibitions Open at Summit Artspace on October 8
September 24, 2021, Akron, OHIO — There is no better place to warm up from the chilly autumn weather than Summit Artspace’s galleries, where five fall exhibitions featuring local artists will be on view from October 8 – December 18. An opening reception will be held on October 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Summit Artspace. The reception is free and open to the public. Several of the exhibiting artists will be present at the opening. All exhibitions will be available virtually on Summit Artspace’s website beginning on October 8.

Three group shows will be on view, showcasing the work of artists involved in the Alliance for the Visual Arts (AVA), the Women’s Art League and the Kent State University Print Media and Photography department.
The 19th Annual Kaleidoscope Juried Exhibition will be on view in the Betty and Howard Taylor Main Gallery. This year’s juror is Alexandra N. Coon, Executive Director at the Massillon Museum. Kaleidoscope, an annual holiday exhibition, celebrates
The Women’s Art League Fall Member Exhibition will be on view in the Transition Gallery. The Women’s Art League unites women artists of Akron who are interested in the advancement of the arts in the community.
A Tradition: Kent State Print Media is a selection of artwork from alumni, students, staff, and faculty of the Print Media and Photography department at Kent State University, co-curated by graduate students Alex Anthes, Amirah Cunningham and Brittany Gorelick, and Professor J. Leigh Garcia. The show will be on view in the Second Floor Gallery and closes early on December 10.
