METRO RTA to Continue 365-Days of Service
November 7, 2023, AKRON — METRO is pleased to announce it will once again provide service on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day this year, as well as New Year’s Day in 2024.
"Providing holiday service was well received last year so we are excited to continue to provide a much needed service to our community,” said METRO CEO Dawn Distler. "Operating 365-days gives our passengers the ability to take trips, such as attending work, obtaining meals, or receiving medical care. Providing holiday service will continue to benefit those who rely on METRO for daily travel.”
Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day will operate on a Sunday schedule, including ADA service. METRO Select services will not be available.
