Single Tickets for the 2024-2025 Season at E.J. Thomas Hall Now on Sale

August 9, 2024, Akron, OH — The Akron Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is thrilled to unveil its dynamic 2024-2025 season, with single tickets now on sale. Building on the success of its 70th anniversary, the upcoming season promises to deliver an exciting array of performances that celebrate some of the highest-demanded classical masterpieces, further solidifying ASO's role as a cornerstone of cultural life in Akron. Also on sale are single tickets to Holiday Pops 2024 and Gospel Meets Symphony 2025.

September 21, 2024 – The season opens with a performance of Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto featuring pianist Gabriela Martínez. The program also includes Chadwick's Jubilee and Price's Symphony No. 3.

October 19, 2024 – Experience The Planets by Holst, accompanied by the Akron Symphony Chorus. The evening also features Ives’ The Unanswered Question, Razaz's Methuselah (an ASO co-commission), and Liszt's Les Préludes.

November 16, 2024 – The Akron Symphony Chorus team up with the ASO for a performance headlined by Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending. The program will also include Schubert’s Symphony No. 5
and Corigliano's Fern Hill, among others.

December 13, 2024 – Celebrate the holiday season with the Holiday Pops concert, a festive tradition for all ages.

January 18, 2025 – Rhapsody in Blue takes center stage with local pianist Theron Brown, along with
performances of Thomas' Of Our New Day Begun, Still's Symphony No. 4, Bernstein's Candide Suite, and more.

March 1, 2025 – Experience Mahler's powerful “Resurrection” Symphony featuring soprano Sonya Headlam, alto Amanda Lynn Bottoms, and the Akron Symphony Chorus.

March 29, 2025 – The season continues with Mozart's Clarinet Concerto featuring clarinetist Amer Hasan and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1.

May 10, 2025 – The season concludes with Verdi's Requiem in collaboration with the Akron Symphony Chorus.

In addition to these captivating performances, the season will also feature the beloved Gospel Meets Symphony on February 8, 2025.
