Downtown Akron Vision + Redevelopment Plan Update

The Downtown Akron Vision + Redevelopment Plan Update recalibrates the 2018 version of the plan for Downtown Akron based on completed projects, current initiatives, and new community ambitions. The update uncovers and highlights market opportunities, new and revised policy recommendations, and new or revised catalytic projects. It includes a new strategic implementation section to reflect changes and updates made necessary by a changing downtown landscape in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and other economic and cultural developments. The recommendations noted in the plan have become the focused strategies outlined under the Elevate Greater Akron Strong Downtown, Strong Region Priority.
