Hearts For Music Second Annual Gala will be held at the beautiful and historic Akron Civic Theater on Tuesday May 7, 2024. Doors open at 6pm and a concert from 7pm - 830pm featuring our beloved Hearts For Music musicians playing alongside special guests the St Mary Children’s Choir. This will be a beautiful and memorable evening for all. A cash bar will be available to make the evening even better! Purchase of gala tickets via Akron Civic Theater will help us in expanding our special needs orchestra program to reach more people with disabilities and special needs who desire to experience the joy of music creation and performance. Also we have some INCREDIBLE AWESOME news that will only be announced at this Gala! We promise this news alone will be worth coming and supporting Hearts For Music!
Hearts For Music, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit with a unique, orchestra style format that allows special needs individuals to experience the joy of creating and performing music as a single cohesive unit. Our motto is Transforming Disabilities into Abilities. HFM seeks to unite ALL disabilities, of ALL ages as much as possible under one roof. In scale and scope, Hearts For Music has no equal. Our HFM musicians utilize digital Apple iPads, acoustic instruments and digital instruments to perform musical works such as Beethoven’s ‘Ode To Joy’. Our repertoire of music ranges from classical to jazz to pop standards. We are proud to have more than 30 HFM musicians in our program, spanning Summit, Stark, Portage and Geauga counties in NE Ohio. In Summer of 2023 we were thrilled to form a HFM group in Schnecksville PA!
