The 2024 Dr. Frank L. Simonetti Awards Breakfast honoring distinguished business alumni.
Time: 7:30 a.m. breakfast buffet (breakfast available upon arrival)
Parking: Parking available at Student Union Lot #18 and surrounding decks; ticketing will be suspended until 10 a.m.

Dr. Frank L. Simonetti ’40
The College of Business Alumni Association established this honor in 1987 to recognize distinguished alumni in the name of a fellow alumnus, dedicated professor, friend and a legend in the College of Business. Dr. Frank L. Simonetti graduated from The University of Akron in 1940 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Dr. Simonetti headed the management department until 1981, when he began his five-year retirement phase-down. Throughout his retirement he maintained his involvement with the college and the University. He passed away on September 28, 2006, at the age of 91. Dr. Simonetti is remembered for his outstanding contributions to the city of Akron, the University, his students and colleagues. His legacy will continue as alumni and faculty pass on his passion for the college, business community and University family.
